TOOLS: Support Crews, Technicians By Customizing Simulations

NGrain announced it will provide the U.S. Air Force with solutions to support aircrew and engine technician training. The Air Force will integrate NGrain’s customized Virtual Task Trainers into its aircraft maintenance training program to supplement and enhance formal classroom and on-the-job training on aircrew weapons and aircraft engines.

NGrain Virtual Task Trainers utilize custom 3-D equipment simulations to train personnel on specific tasks and have been found to accelerate training by 60 percent and improve resolution of maintenance issues by 30 percent.

Trainers provide parts familiarization and skill acquisition training, guided practice of maintenance, repair, or operation tasks (including part removal and replacement), and testing and validation.
