Welcome to the Premier Issue of Government Elearning! Magazine.

02/25/09 06:46 PM

Government Elearning! magazine helps executives power the public sector with learning technologies. The magazine serves a robust $100 billion public sector learning market, growing 22 percent. Each issue of Government Elearning! magazine provides you with real-world examples of e-learning at work.

Great timing

The federal government has actively launched agency-wide e-government initiatives serving employees, consumers, military and inter-agencies. Technology-enabled learning practices are spreading. The Social Security Administration just launched a new self-service Web portal for citizens to access personal information. Veteran’s Administration hospitals are launching e-learning initiatives today to meet compliance and quality-of-service goals. The United Nations and CIA have developed social networks to build information sharing and collaboration across their constituencies. Every issue of Government Elearning! magazine will focus on how these programs are developed, their impact on performance, satisfaction and goal attainment.

Starting with the cover story, Spence Burton, former GoLearn program manager, provides the roadmap to build an effective workforce strategy.

Richard Culatta, of the Central Intelligence Agency, addresses the high cost of overlooking new technology for learning in “Currency and Learning Technologies.” The National Nuclear Security Agency Administration also shares the Office of Chief Learning Officer’s employee survey on learning preferences. Discover how this multi-generational workforce prefers to collaborate and integrate technology in the process. You will be surprised by the results in the article titled :learning Preferences at the NNSA.”
